Barre Class


Price: Varies

Barre Class Barre Class Taught by Nurit Krauss, who trained at the Julliard School, Martha Graham Center, and the Joffrey Ballet, Barre Class is specially designed for women. It is taught primarily at the ballet barre, but also includes some center and aerobic exercises. Concentrating on balance, alignment, placement, coordination and upper body strength, the Barre Class utilizes principles of ballet and dance to enhance posture, elongate muscles and improve joint articulation and extension.  Special attention is given to learning sequences of movement with music to improve memory.

Barre exercise class using dance principals at the barre.  Dance-based exercise will help strengthen and lengthen your body and improve posture.  Using the barre, students will get a dancer's workout.

 






Body Shop classes require a Body Shop or Body Shop/Weight Room combo card.

Class Descriptions

BB = Barre Body: With a focus on balance, strength, alignment, posture and flexibility using dance principles

CB = Core Barre: Blends ballet barre conditioning with yoga, mat work and strength training to create a lean physique

GE = Gentle Exercise: A great overall workout for older adults or those new to exercise

C&M = Core & More: Build strength, flexibility, balance and posture w/a variety of resistive equipment.

QG = Qi Gong:  Ancient Chinese system of healing exercise combining movement, meditation, breathing and massage.

ST/I = Step Interval: Alternating between cardio on the step with weights for a great cardio/strength workout

TLB = Timeless Body: Unique mat class that works the entire body and nervous system

Y = Yoga: Centuries-old mind/body discipline for balance, strength, flexibility and stress reduction

ZG = Zumba Gold: Total body Latin dance workout, great for any age or fitness level
